    1. Your initial doctor could be wrong
    2. it could be a allergy
    3. most likely you need to see a allergy and asthma specialist to review

Athsma is actually very common in teens and children, and is sometimes harder to determine but there are many breathing problems even being worried or scared can have effects.

Zoey, can you describe what you are feeling when you say you are "having trouble breathing?"

Is it like something sitting on your chest? Do you more like a tighness in your lower throat/upper chest? When does it seem to happen more? During the day? At night?

If you have been to the doctor and he said nothing was wrong, you need a second opinion. Breathing troubles are considered an emergent situation and you should be going to the emergency room for this.

    Truthfully, if you are

If everything medically checks out okay... Then it maybe a PANIC ATTACK!! I used to have anxiety (panic) attacks a lot in my mid to late teens and I always felt that I couldn't breath. I would rush to the ER thinking I was dying and then they would run a bunch of test, and then tell me it is "my nerves."

Either way, you should contact your doctor and tell them all your symptoms and let them check you out!

Good Luck and God Loves You!

Tell your parent and get to a doctor. A little maturity helps here. Lets not play around with your health.

Tell your mother that you know something is wrong and you want to go see the doc. If she says no contact your school nurse and let her know what is going on.. also have your mom look at what you are writing here maybe then she will see you are serious.

    Zoey,
There is not too much that can be wrong with you from a medical point of you and this should be easily determined but you need to see a doctor. You most LIKELY have asthma or anxiety and you need to have both of these checked out.. What kind of asthma tests did the doctors run on you? You could have anxiety or panic attacks which can make you feel like you are not getting enough air. You are young and this is all that I can actually think of that may be wrong with you. Do you have allergies or any other symptoms? Have you had a lung x-ray, are you overweight? These can be factors also that need to be looked into but you have to make your mom understand that you are serious.

So its not lung cancer or anything like that then? I normally hang round with people who smoke but I don't myself.
