Wood pecker is eating my house
So now this wood pecker has started drilling into my house. How do I get him to stop? Is there some sort of magic dust or wood pecker chaser awayer. He seems to be going for the attic. I would hate for him to get into a tangle with our pet bat who happens to sleep up there.

Bats are really dirty creatures, nothing worse then bat guano, although in mexico they use it as fertilizer in vast quantities.

Woodpecker knows you have bugs in your wood, maybe termites, flying ants (had them). So be pleased he is eating the bugs but if I were you I would start investigating and get an exterminator quickly !

Or its breeding season an he is prospecting a bigger family than last year.
I would trade off the pecker for the cute bug zapper any day.
