More than the southern border is open.
The Chicoms float a spy balloon across Montana. Rather than simply getting rid of it, the admin puts this out.
The White House said Friday it is "keeping all options on the table" regarding the Chinese spy balloon after President Biden followed "strong" recommendations from defense officials not to shoot down the aircraft due to safety to people on the ground.
So they were really afraid that a part of the balloon might fall on someone in heavily populated Montana? We can't figure out how to take down a balloon in a wooded area? Biden and the dems should be wearing MAMA caps. "Make Amerian Mediocre Again."

The balloon glides merrily along. It is projected that it will cross over the upper southeastern portion of the country before ending up over the Atlantic. This current admin continues to do what it's best at which is...nothing. Thankfully, the debate over pronoun usage has continued to proceed at a rapid pace, an area where we doubtless have an enormous advantage of the Chicoms.

The Chinese must be watching all of this in amazement at how weak and ineffective the Biden admin has become.

If not for the public outcry, it would be floating along in the Atlantic right now.

I need to know if we did any jamming of it's transmissions .

Long before the shoot down, U.S. officials took steps to protect against the balloon's collection of sensitive information, mitigating its intelligence value to the Chinese.

Officials in the Pentagon now claim that China floated balloons into US airspace 3 times during Trump's term. That statement surprised Mark Esper, the former Secretary of Defense. He said he was never made aware of this .

Hardly handled perfectly .We have no indication that the balloon was ever detected or tracked until a bunch of people in Montana noticed it

The balloon flew from China ,over South Korea ,into Japanese air space ,over the Aleutian Island chain; into Alaska ,down through Canada, into continental US . Yet Clueless claims that it was not safe to shoot it down until it crossed the entire continent .

What if it wasn't a "weather balloon" ? What if it wasn't just a spy balloon gathering intelligence ? What if it carrying a nuclear bomb . At 60,000 feet it would've made a heck of an EMP .

If this balloon or multiple balloons crossed that path then we have wasted a fortune on early warning systems .Forget about hypersonic or ICBMs . We can't prevent balloons from attacking .

"U.S. intelligence, not the Biden administration" assesses that "PRC (People's Republic of China) government surveillance balloons transited the continental U.S. briefly at least three times during the prior administration and once that we know of at the beginning of this administration, but never for this duration of time."

These would be the same "US Intelligence " who told us that Iraq had huge stockpiles of WMD...... the same "intelligence agencies that told us Trump and Russia was colluding to steal the 2016 election .....the same agencies that told us Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation.

Or were the balloons detected and our Intel agencies decided to not tell the Commander in Chief about them ? How about the Congressional oversight committees . They decided that the information was too important to reveal to them too ?

Was this kept secret because Hunter's Chinese handlers JiaQi Bao, and Patrick Ho ;told the" Big guy " to keep it under wraps ?

Hunter's connections with Bao ... a former Chinese government researcher who effectively ran Hunter's business dealings in China and encouraged Quid to run for President ;and Ho .... a former Secretary for Home Affairs in Hong Kong ,who Hunter called the F-ing spy chief of China ;were through his $5 million deal with China controlled CEFC .

Allegedly Clueless knew the balloon was in US skies on Jan 28 . But the public was not aware until Feb 2 when people saw the UFO .Why the lag ;the cover up ? Was it because he was trying to make the Blinken trip to China happen?

There was no talk about shooting the balloon down until after Trump and later emperor operative and former CIA chief Leon Panetta called for it to be shot down. Would Quid have shot it down without their's and public pressure to do so?

Has the $54 million+ Chinese "donations " to the Biden center affected his decisions regarding China ? Before he was Sec State Blinken served as managing director of the Penn Biden Center . How about the $31 million the Biden Crime family scored in 5 business deals with companies directly linked to the CCP ? Did that have an impact on his thinking ?

The incredible quote of the week. I suspect the handling was considered to have been done "perfectly" because "Biden" is not spelled T-r-u-m-p.

The Chinese gathered their intel ;and sent it to Beijing . The balloon itself was expendable . The one floating around Central America is scouting the US soft underbelly defenses .

What's rather interesting is how well the Chicoms were able to predict weather patterns so as to get these balloons, presumably, to go where they wanted them.

You are assuming it doesn't have guidance. I expect this moved around much like the US version 'Cold Star' .

Raven Aerostar, a division of Raven Industries, produces the balloons. Raven said they consist of a flight control unit, powered by batteries that are charged using renewable solar panels. They also have a payload electronics package that controls flight safety, navigation and communications, Russell Van Der Werff, engineering director at Raven Aerostar, said in an interview.
Wind currents allow the balloon to float along a desired flight path, and the company takes advantage of different wind speeds and directions to move the balloon to the target area.

But that’s not all. Raven Aerostar uses a proprietary machine-learning algorithm that predicts wind directions and fuses incoming sensor data in real time, Van Der Werff said. The company also employs a software program to pilot and monitor its balloon fleet and has a mission operations center manned with trained flight engineers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, he added.
