    Thank you, Mr. Biden
"Fuel supplier Mansfield Energy is taking steps to prepare for a diesel shortage on the East Coast of the United States, issuing an advisory to businesses that rely on the fuel to plan rather than panic.

Last week, Mansfield Energy raised a red flag on the upcoming diesel fuel shortage in the southeastern region of the U.S., speculating it could be from "poor pipeline shipping economies" and a historically low supply of reserves."

Well, at least we're throwing off all restraints and going full bore on exploration and development of new petroleum and natural gas reserves, as well as encouraging the building of new refineries by revising onerous fed regulations, and that's not to mention...wait a minute. Come to think of it, we're doing none of those things.

    Never mind.

US diesel supplier warns businesses to prepare for shortages, higher prices for consumers | Fox Business

And in case we get the utterly predictable, "Oh, that's just Foxnews!" response, here it is again.

Gives Clueless an opportunity to again blame the greedy oil companies when this causes supply chain disruptions that contributes even further to the Bidenflation. Great timing too . We are set to run out by Black Friday ;the start of the Christmas shopping season.

As an alternative to blaming Big Oil he will blame his big boogieman Putin . When called to sacrifice we always need a demons to slay either /or domestic and foreign . This year he has both . Putin and Trump.

Oh yeah ,since everything in this country runs on diesel and not Beany and Cecil windmill propeller caps he can say this is just part of the pain of the great transition.

We have heard on this board that the transition must occur whether we are ready for it or not because ummm the fat cat Dem's beach front mansions are in danger .

And it is not just diesel . Kerosine is closing in on $6/gallon (some regions like New England it is closer to $7 .)This is often used in rural and poor areas for home heating . Many people are going to have a cold winter . Ironically we were told the transition is needed because it is getting too warm.

Any rational thinker would question why this can happen in a nation which has the deepest reserves of energy on the planet .

I almost forgot that we do have a Transportation Sec. Mayor Pete has been conspicuously silent on the diesel shortage crisis .In fact he is AOL on all the transportation issues except his desire to have electric charging stations on every corner street in America. Ships are still backlogged off the California coast . Some have been diverted to East Coast ports that are smaller and have a hard time handling their own workload . So East Coast ports are bottlenecked too. When a ship makes it to a West Coast port it offloads on docks that are bottlenecked with containers that aren't moving .Perishables spoil on the dock.
There aren't enough trucks that pass California's emission standards . So cargo that does move has to be offloaded into another truck outside of California .

Airlines are plagued with cancellations and delays . Many pilots just quit or were fired due to covid lockdowns and vax mandates . On this case Mayor Pete's solution was to threaten airlines with fines if they don't hire all those pilots that are no longer available.

Add to this the diesel shortage and a looming railroad strike (deadline November 19 )and we are looking at the perfect storm right before the holiday season. Railroads deliver 33 million tons of cargo a week . To replace their production would require 460,000 trucks and truckers we don't have.

We are less than a month away from a petrochemical disaster this country has never seen.

And how is Clueless Joe addressing it .
    stopping pipeline construction
cancel leases or giving leases but denying drilling permits
    bans on fracking
selling off our strategic reserve to China .

Hey you can always buy an electric car and charge it at all those imaginary charging stations .

We have a Jacobin administration led by Clueless Joe Robespierre (“You can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.”) In this case they're breaking all the eggs ,and killing the chickens for an omlet that will never be made except in their utopian imagination.

Well Clueless had a deal with the railroads and the unions . But now it appears to have fallen apart and we are closer than ever to both a strike on top of a severe shortage of diesel fuel.

EXPLAINER: Rail strike would have wide impact on US economy | AP News

I once thought that the inflation spiral would be "transitory " as the economic "experts " were predicting . I now see it will take a major recession to control it .
Since that also depends on government controlling spending ;and neither party is inclined to do so ,then I now believe that the recession and inflation (stagflation) combined will drag on for months and perhaps years .

Kudos to the President . He claimed to be the most union friendly President evah .....and he had sucked up to them until now .

But for once he put the nation's interests first over his constituent special interests.

He brokered a deal to avert a nation crippling rail strike . He got Congress to pass legislation imposing the deal .

Maybe this is a glimpse into the future if he continues to put America First .

Maybe he will work to end the antiquated protectionist Jones Act that restricts the shipping of aid and other goods to Puerto Rico and adds greatly to the cost of goods shipped there ,

Speaking of protectionism ;why support tariffs on steel costing Americans $ and jobs lost ?

Why support teacher's unions over the parents of the children ?

So what was Trans Sec Mayor Pete doing as a rail strike was looming ?

He was on vacation in Portugal.

Brent Scher on Twitter: "BREAKING: Pete Buttigieg took Eurotrip to Portugal at height of labor negotiations with rail workers, participated virtually in key meetings from his vacation Scoop from @SaysSimonson https://t.co/geUPoP8bgh" / Twitter

This week it was also reported that the enviro conscious Mayor Pete takes frequent trips on a private jet on our dime.

Buttigieg Took Taxpayer-Funded Private Jets. Trump’s HHS Sec Was Forced To Resign For Doing That. | The Daily Wire

Flashback to April here is Mayor Pete at his hypocritical best

EG: Why is transportation so important in the fight against climate change? PB: When you look at the U.S. economy, transportation accounts for the largest share of our greenhouse gas emissions. To me, that means transportation ought to be responsible for the biggest share of the solution.
Pete Buttigieg: Transportation is the climate solution (edf.org)

Maybe the example should start from the top.
