    semi socialist
Clueless Joe ran as a moderate . He eeked out a win. Once in office he swiftly abandoned the uniter ,moderate labels . The moderates in his party like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema spent the last 2 years attempting to put road blocks on the policies that Clueless adopted from the Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, All Out Crazy ,Squad socialist wing of the Democrats .

That makes him and the 81 million people who voted for him semi socialists (based on his logic that Trump supporters are MAGA (Make America Great Again)semi-fascists . He implements his policies by thin majority votes in Congress enhanced by executive edicts and strong armed use of the Justice Dept . That makes him and his supporters semi authoritarian.

He doesn't care about the immediate concerns of the average American .....high inflation.... labor-market distortions,,,, supply-chain disruptions .... recession .He is too busy catering to the radical socialists spending monopoly bucks to implement utopian green new deals; wealth redistribution , and the continued move towards a government command and controlled economy .
He recognizes no limits on the use of public power . He may call that democracy as he did last night . In reality it is semi dictatorship

Clueless Joe p*ssed off "moderate " Joe by telling the truth about the Dem plans to gut the coal industry . (that should go over like a lead balloon in Pennsylvania.) Manchin is demanding an apology from Clueless creepy Quid Pro Joe for saying coal plants "all across America" will be shut down.

This should give Manchin the opportunity to jump from the sinking Dem ship and declare himself independent .

Manchin said Clueless Joe's comments are "divorced from reality "

Well duh ! Clueless is divorced from reality .

The WH went into spin mode ..........again .

Statement by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre | The White House

The President’s remarks yesterday have been twisted to suggest a meaning that was not intended; he regrets it if anyone hearing these remarks took offense.

Yeah the frequently makes twisted comments

Here is the President's EXACT words .You be the judge if they are being twisted .

“We’re going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar.”

Manchin himself is a 'lying dog faced pony soldier ' if he claims he did not know the Dem's purpose was to kill the coal industry . It was the central reason for the misnamed 'Inflation control act ' that Manchin himself negotiated with Schmuck Schumer .
Democrats running for Senate in Ohio (Tim Ryan), Pennsylvania (John Fetterman) and Wisconsin (Mandela Barnes) should join the chorus with Manchin .But they too are complicit in support of the Dem economy killing energy polices .(despite Fetterman's last second reversal of his opposition to fracking )

I hope the people of those states are not as naive as their Dem standard bearers appear to be.

The great shocker of this political season has been the fact that people are actually going to vote for Fetterman. Of course, it really shouldn't be all that shocking considering that we actually elected Biden. Just goes to show that a fully functional mind is apparently not essential for becoming a democrat candidate.

    Two comments.
    1. It's strange that your gas price is well over a dollar higher than ours in Mississippi, and yet diesel is about the same.

    2. Average price of gas was 2.39 a gallon when Trump left office. Now...not so much. And still Biden refuses to allow expanded exploration and development. It's ridiculous.

Mississippi is in the hinterlands. Chicagoland is swarming with automotive and trucker activity!

Gas prices would be even higher if Trump were still in office. He'd be in hiding at Mara-Loco.

Fraid you're wrong on that one. But even if you were right, how would that explain diesel fuel being the same price but gas being about $1.25 higher???

Gas prices would be even higher if Trump were still in office. He'd be in hiding at Mara-Loco.
Right. Trump would have petroleum production much higher than it is now since he is not captive to the AOC/climate change loonies.

yawn socialism is a doctrine that calls for public (government ownership )or control of the means of production and the distribution of goods . It is a transitional stage between capitalism and communism . In other words ....the 21st century Democratic party .

That is all I have to say on the issue . If my definition is not the same as yours ....too bad . I am not in school taking quizzes here

That's just what you need - school to further your education until you get it right.

The underlined above is beyond preposterous, but it DOES explain so much of your confused and erratic comments on these pages.

Which of the following programs represent the government owning the means of production - social security (you recently called it a Ponzi scheme, a capitalist scheme), unemployment insurance, the 5-day-week, child labor laws, anti-trust law, refundable tax credits, the various safety nets, and so many more. Answer- NONE. All have been called "socialistic" by the far right-wing.

Exactly how is the 2020 election “socialistic”? Fraudulent election denial is fascist thuggery, nothing else.

From before Joe McCarthy in the 1950s to the present takeover of the Republican Party by the Trump wackos, the right-wing rhetoric for decades has been based on two ideas - anti-immigration (fear of neighbor) and “socialism” (fear of equality).

You're up at 3am and calling ME a troll? Really? Tomder, read what you write before you post it so you don't look like a fool.

The definition I provided was almost word for word a dictionary definition.
Try reading what I wrote. I did not deny your definition. What I DID do was challenge your absurd statement that it represents the "21st century Democratic Party". Uninformed bulls**t is too fine a phrase for your nonsense.

I knew it was a waste of time responding to your gnat attacks
Yet, you responded. Again, tomder, read what you write before you post it so you don't look like a fool by contradicting yourself.

We await your response to my challenge re government programs, tomder. This is the second time you have shown yourself to be utterly lacking in understanding what you preach.

anti-immigration (fear of neighbor) and “socialism” (fear of equality).
Repubs are anti ILLEGAL immigration. As to socialism having anything to do with equality, that's simply absurd. Liberals pretend to favor equality, but you don't see any liberal giving away most of his income until he is left with what is average, thus ensuring "equality". It is a battlecry issued only to give them a false sense of moral superiority.

    You obviously cannot answer coherently.
Yet again, Mr. Pot refers to Mr. Kettle as black.
