    The statist Republicrats
Is it possible for a self described Republican to hold big state socialists views that are hardly indistinguishable from the radical lefty Dems ? Yes of course . Under the leadership of Yertle ,it is increasingly becoming difficult to see the differences between the parties .

Nanny state giveaways wins elections ,and the Repubs want to win elections so they couch their extravagant spending with labels like "responsible ,"common sense " yada yada yada

It is good politics to say they want to help families . So they are proposing a European socialist responsible common sense spending binge . It is called the New Parents Act.

    S.2764 - 117th Congress (2021-2022): New Parents Act of 2021 | Congress.gov | Library of Congress

It was introduced by "conservatives " RINO Mittens Romney and Marco Rubio .

The bill would create a federal paid leave program that would allow new parents up to 3 months of parental leave by drawing funds from Social Security.(as if the program already wasn't in danger of insolvency) .

The bill would also extend child tax credits to most families, even rich ones."Parents would receive a credit of up to $3,500 per child, and $4,500 per child for children under the age of 6."

That comes to $69,000 per child in tax credits over time.

The Repub socialists say they are being more "responsible " than the Dem socialists because the Dems would pay for it by printing monopoly money . But it both comes down to Wimpy logic (I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today).

This is just one example of socialist Repubs. Repubs are on board with subsidies to various industries that turns the claim of being capitalists on it's head .

I don't care how high the Fed raises interest rate . If the Repubs go along with government spending like drunken Dems the economy will never be fixed

Mittens' morph into a libtard Dem is almost complete. He knows he has no future as a Repub .He lost an easily winnable election to the emperor in 2012. Now he is going to lose his Senate seat .He will not run for reelection in 2024 because he knows he could not win a primary

But he is not going down quietly He is going to completely burn that GOP bridge on the way out.

A new biography by fellow Morman stenographer McKay Coppins (Umm be nice don't call him a boot licker ) ;and Atlantic ( ahem ) journalist called Romney: A Reckoning , details Romney's grievances against Trump; the GOP ;Fox News and life in general .

The book spends a lot of time detailing about Mittens growing appreciation of the progressive Dem's agenda.

It spends a lot of time detailing his ;for lack of a better word ;his personal utter hatred of Trump. It makes it clear that he really did not have much issues with Trump's agenda. His problem was with Trump (he says Trump is boorish....he insults other people(well duhh)) .He therefore attacks Trump's administration (he called them toadies ) ;and any Repub that took Trump's side. They were as a group .smarmy, craven, and cowardly according to Mittens)

Now get this . Trump was impeached because of a phone call he made to Zelenski ;asking him to investigate the Biden crime family . Specific was the activities of Hunter Biden and the kickback he was getting from his business relationship with Burisma. But Romney admitted to Sean Hannity that he did not know much about Burisma.

“You’re just doing this because you want to get praise on MSNBC!” Hannity told Romney, according to the book. Hannity then questioned Romney on Hunter Biden, and erupted when the senator confessed he was not aware of Burisma, according to the book: “How do you not know what Burisma is?”

Mitt Romney criticizes Fox News and right-wing media for warping Republican Party | CNN Business

But that did not stop Mittens from voting for impeachment .

He was after all taking a principled stand .

from the book review by Harvard Book Store ....(I added the sarc identifier because it must be sarc)
<sarc>Ultimately, Romney: A Reckoning is a redemptive story about a flawed politician who summoned his moral courage just as fear and divisiveness were overtaking American life.</sarc>
