    Is this cancerous ?
Hi everyone, quick question before I visit the GP next week. A few years ago, I randomly got this bump, almost like a scab on my forearm. It hasn't caused any issues, my health is fine, but my friend has told me to get it checked out as a friend of ours passed away from Cancer, so now as you can imagine it's bothering me. I checked online and they say moles on the skin that grows hair are not cancerous but I'm not sure anymore. Please help.

I totally agree that you should get it checked out. I also feel that this should have been done a long time ago.

If you have had this growth for this long I feel confident that it is not cancerous, unless it has started to change its appearance, colour or size.

Even then it may not be anything to worry about but only a proper medical examination can discover this.

Although moles with hair on them are not generally cancerous it is still remotely possible.

Good luck when you see your physician.
