It's a shame the liberals on this site have abandoned to field to the conservatives. It's unfortunate.

OK. Now I completely understand why. Makes sense!!

We really ought to talk. I've learned a lot from my conversations with WG. I don't agree with much of it, but it has still been enlightening. Not really sure where Athos is coming from, but he has a right to his opinions.

The other thing notices in this celebration of the elites is that without exception ,the attendees were unmasked while the lowly servant class were all forced to mask up .This in a city where you are not allowed to gather without proof of vaccination .
The same thing happened at a Madam Mim fundraiser ,and also at the emperor's birthday bash. Such elitist arrogance is what turned into the California recall effort . The people are sick of the elite's double standards

Well said. Sadly, Californians decided to stick with a complete loser of a governor. I wonder how low the state has to go before deciding to make a change? For that matter, how low does our nation need to go before making a change?

Turns out that the designer dress and the $995 handbag that came with it was designed by what All Out Crazy describes as a 'black woman immigrant' .Who is this person ?

She is Brother Vellies founder Aurora James ;born in Canada . She is dating billionaire Seagram heir Benjamin Bronfman.

The Rep of the poor and struggling people of Queens NY immediately began marketing merchandize with the same message . She sent out emails to supporters and donors encouraging them to purchase hoodies and tee shirts with the tax the rich message on her web site The tees cost $27 and the hoodies $58 . All part of the official merchandize collection .

The socialist Rep is quite the capitalist .

It's worse even than that. The 58 dollar item is not even a hoodie. It's just a plain sweatshirt. Anyone paying 58 bucks for a sweatshirt advocating for a position that is already in place deserves to have AOC for his/her congresswoman.

But there is good news! The items are all made in union shops! Perhaps that explains why a simple sweatshirt costs nearly sixty bucks. At those prices, AOC will soon be able to put out a sweatshirt that says, "Tax the Rich Congresswoman."

Will anything be done about this? Unlikely, but it certainly should be addressed.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was hit Thursday with another ethics complaint over her attendance at Monday night’s Met Gala, with a second conservative watchdog group claiming she violated House rules on accepting gifts.

The complaint from the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) to the Office of Congressional Ethics alleged that Ocasio-Cortez improperly accepted tickets from a table sponsor for herself and her boyfriend.

House rules allow members to take free tickets to charity events directly from event organizers, and The Post reported Tuesday that AOC and boyfriend Riley Roberts were directly invited by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

However, the NLPC argued that "it is the table sponsor who is gifting or underwriting a coveted seat to AOC at the Gala.

"And if … the table where AOC sat was one paid for by one of [the] corporations attending the event, such as Instagram or Facebook, AOC has received a prohibited gift from the corporation that also lobbies Congress."

The complaint further alleged that the borrowed white Brother Vellies gown worn by AOC — which featured the words "Tax The Rich" scrawled on the back in red lettering — constituted an impermissible gift because it was "directly related to AOC’s ‘position with the House’ as a highly visible and controversial Member."
"If AOC had not been a Member, she would not have been invited to the Gala," the document read, "and even if she would have been invited as a private citizen, the designer would not have made a special dress for her to wear at the event.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) during a Senate floor speech on Wednesday over the congresswoman’s past antics at the U.S.-Mexico border when President Donald Trump was in office compared to her actions now.

“I’ll tell you: I’ve been to the border. I’ve been to the Biden cages,” Cruz said. “For four years, Democrats went on and on and on, the corrupt corporate media went on and on and on about kids in cages. You couldn’t turn on the evening news without ‘hearing kids in cages.’ What they didn’t tell you is Barack Obama built those cages. And today under Joe Biden, the cages are bigger and they’re more full than they were before.”

“Mr. President, every Democrat who stood up and lamented kids in cages, in the House of Representatives, Representative Ocasio-Cortez, has a famous photo of her grasping her head by the kids in cages,” Cruz said as he imitated the photo. “Well, I’m going to give a simple challenge for Representative Ocasio-Cortez and for every Democrat in this body. Go see the Biden cages with your own eyes.”

“Why does Joe Biden refuse to go to the Rio Grande Valley? Because if he goes, the TV cameras will come with him,” Cruz later added. “Why does Kamala Harris, who’s supposed to be the border czar, she’s supposed to be in charge of this, why won’t she go to the Rio Grande Valley? Because if she went, the TV cameras would come and would show the Biden cages. And the Democrats are counting on the corrupt corporate media to suddenly say nothing to see here. 15,000 Haitians under a bridge in Del Rio. Nothing to see here. Anyone want to know what Joe Biden’s favorite ice cream flavor is? That’s the news!”

I am beginning to think it is a mistake to elevate All Out Crazy too much . It confers on her more prestige than is warranted

Could be, but she's just the gift that keeps on giving. It's hard to stay away from her.

    ok this is relevant

She hates Israel . But she has Jewish votes in her district ;and she wants Schmucky's Senate Seat .She needs the Jewish vote . So rather to vote down funding of the Iron Dome ,she voted present . She gives a barely comprehensible non-explanation why here .

    A Note from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez | Representative Ocasio-Cortez (house.gov)

All other members of the "Squad" voted no . But her explanation is a classic parody of liberal woke discourse ....social justice , grievances and her own personal drama queen being victimized by the system .

It created a real sense of panic and horror among those in our community who otherwise engage thoughtfully in these discussions, and fueled the discussion to devolve to a point where it became clear that this vote would risk a severe devolution of the good faith community fabric that allows us to responsibly join in a struggle for human rights and dignity everywhere - from Palestine to The Bronx and Queens.............Yes, I wept. I wept at the complete lack of care for the human beings that are impacted by these decisions, I wept at an institution choosing a path of maximum volatility and minimum consideration for its own political convenience. And I wept at the complete lack of regard I often feel our party has to its most vulnerable and endangered members and communities

Here is the line that makes most sense "To those who believe this line of reasoning is insufficient or cowardice, I understand."

The vote ended up a bipartisan 420-9 So what exactly would a 24 hour delay accomplish ?
