Taliban takes 6 refugee planes hostage pending concession
Taliban is blocking a half dozen planes with American citizens and permanent residents, as well as Afghan interpreters, from departing Afghanistan. The State Department told lawmakers the flights will have permission to depart for Doha, Qatar ;where the U.S. has been processing Afghans applying for special immigrant visas ,”if and when the Taliban agrees to takeoff” .

Included in the hostages ;at least 600 and probably more , are 19 U.S. citizens and 2 green card holders. The group includes female mountaineers, NGO workers, journalist and other women at risk.

I don't think so . The group trying to leave have 3 party contacts that chartered the planes .

Frerichs' status is being negotiated with direct talks with the US . There was a discussion between the U.S. Special Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad (a real snake in the grass) and the head of the Political Bureau, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar regarding Frerichs according to Anas Haqqani ;brother of the late leader of the Taliban Jalaluddin Haqqani."There are attempts between the Political Bureau and the U.S. envoy, which we hope will be successful in this regard."

So far the Taliban has not even provided proof he is still alive . There was speculation that a prisoner exchange was possible . But I have heard nothing else.

other news from Afghanistan . The Taliban have overrun Panjshir province . Massoud forces still occupy mountain positions and much of the rural areas. They can hold out as guerrillas for a long time . The Taliban was assisted in this assault by drones dropping bombs. ........ most likely from Pakistan .

Maybe Quid can negotiate with the new (since 2015 ) Taliban Amir ;Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada .We are told he is a moderate . He is so moderate that he let his son become a suicide /homicide bomber in 2017

One thing for sure ;there can no longer be any doubt that the Taliban is the construct of the Paki ISI .

A leaked email from the State Department confirms that the Quid administration refused to grant permission for private evacuation flights from Afghanistan to land in third countries, even though the administration was aware official authorization was needed for them to do so.
Additionally, the State Department explicitly said private charter flights, even those carrying American citizens out of Afghanistan, would not be permitted to land at DOD airbases.

Quid and his mouthpiece Jen Psaki have both denied that the government was holding up evacuation flights organized by 3rd parties .

As I understand it, most of the planes were sponsored by a private organization founded by Glenn Beck. Beck claims that the passengers on the planes were all cleared ahead of time by the State Department. The real shocker is that our inept government had not gotten them all out two weeks ago.

No good news on the Mark Frerichs front.
Bring our Families Home Campaign had a video meeting with Sec State Blinken and has requested a meeting with Clueless Joe.

Letter to POTUS asking for a meeting — BRING OUR FAMILIES HOME CAMPAIGN

It appears that the administration is more concerned with getting the JCPOA appeasement with Iran back on track than than securing the release of the hostages the jihadists have in custody.

I'm sure when they meet with Clueless he will have his cue cards in order .

Biden accidentally flashed a cue card telling him exactly where to go and what to do at a White House event (yahoo.com)
