Trump's Repeated Claim to "Exoneration" Examined
Trump has continuously claimed that the Mueller Report "totally exonerated" him. Totally false.

In his report, Mueller avoided accusing Trump of a crime because Justice Department policy prohibited him from filing charges against a sitting president. He made clear, however, that his report was intended to “preserve the evidence” obtained in his investigation because “a President does not have immunity after he leaves office.”

    From Mueller's Report

    Obstruction of justice

    1. “Conduct involving FBI Director Comey and Michael Flynn”
    2. “The President’s reaction to the continuing Russia investigation”
    3. “The President’s termination of Comey”
    4. “The appointment of a Special Counsel and efforts to remove him”
    5. “Efforts to curtail the Special Counsel’s investigation”
    6. “Efforts to prevent public disclosure of evidence”
    7. “Further efforts to have the Attorney General take control of the investigation”
    8. “Efforts to have McGahn deny that the President had ordered him to have the Special Counsel removed”
    9. “Conduct toward Flynn, [Paul] Manafort, [REDACTED]”
    10. “Conduct involving Michael Cohen”

we have been over this ground many times, maybe there are grounds for a prosecution once the election is over, and maybe it is just history, but so much of it is just political rhetoric

In the US, obstruction of justice is NOT political rhetoric - it is a crime. As noted, it will become prosecutable after Trump is no longer president, not after the election.

maybe we should take Robert 3rd Reich's proposal and set up a truth and reconciliation commission . But it should cover the last 30 years of American politics at least . If it is a ones sided commission like the South African one was then it will serve no purpose but to bury one half of the truth . The Compost knows the can of worms he is proposing . That is why they don't want to touch it with a 10 ft poll. Yeah let a bipartisan commission look into the coup attempt that Trump has had to endure these lest 4 years . Then go deeper into the abuse of powers by the emperor's justice and intelligence agencies .

btw don't count on Quid. He will not last a year in the Presidency before the Dem long knifes take him down . They can not lead the nation credibly with that corrupt man at the helm and they know it . They don't even dispute the information being revealed in the Hunter emails .
