Here's another example of a so-called lie from the Post. "I leave it up to the governors. The governors know what they're doing. They've been doing a great job. I guess we're close to 90 percent anyway. And the states that we're talking about are not in jeopardy. No, I would leave it to the governors.”

The Post took issue with that since any state could become a hotspot and thus is in jeapordy. That's like saying that a volcano could erupt in any state at any time, and so no state is really safe. Another ridiculous example. So no, I don't accept the silly figure of 18,000 lies. And by the way, the Post said "lies and misleading statements", which is another fly in the ointment.

The dufus can take whatever he wants and finding someone to write him a script AND monitor him through it is his business. You have the same choice to make between you and your own doctor, but realize that if it doesn't work as planned tough, and if it does, good for you. That same data and much more doesn't show what the dufus says though, his miracle drugs actually works. I know everybody and his mama is giving it a try mostly from desperation and a lack of other good options and why not? Aren't we pretty helpless against this viral invader?

I suspect the point of the exercise from the dufus is to convince you that taking this miracle drug will allow you to get your arses back to work faster, and safely. The illogic here is though while a doctor can treat side effects pretty well, you must report them first, and no surprise doctors prefer administering this drug in a hospital setting so a patient can be monitored, and dosages and treatments adjusted and that's the key here. The science is down for safely taking this drug for certain conditions and medical issues, but not for this virus. All the links presented by our members bear that out quite well, and should not be ignored despite the news of what others intend to do.

Ignore the numbers of sickness and deaths as the latest data shows a rise, and all the common sense instructions slow walked to the public from the CDC, after being scrubbed by this WH, and get our economy rolling again, so he can have his main political talking point back.

As we know he also is threatening states that consider allowing for mail in voting citing fraud as a huge issue, but we all know repubs have done everything to close more dmv's in minority zip codes, and create long lines in minority zip codes to suppress the vote. I mean the dufus has said that the more people that vote the less likely a repub can get elected, and that's always been the repub party mantra and tactics that go with it. Repubs have signaled how far they will go to suppress the vote and have done so in many ways and not to say dems don't have their own tricks and traps, but nowhere as onerous as repubs to date.

No secret my solution to our problems is dump the dufus and his sycophants and give us the best chance to be great again. 3 years and counting is more than enough of this nonsense for me.

And here's the next one. “The military shelves were also empty. We had no ammunition, literally. And that was said by one of your favorite generals. 'We have -- sir, we have no ammunition.'” Even the Post agrees that Trump was highlighting a legit problem. He is guilty of exaggeration, but I imagine he felt he was speaking to people who understood that the military was not out of bullets in absolute terms. A lie? Hardly.

Now Chuck Todd's discussion of Barr's comments is a good example of either lying or journalistic utter incompetence.

And then the next one. “Our. Our. It means the United States of America. And then we take that 'our' and we distribute it to the states.” The Post goes on to say that Trump was covering for his son in law's statement from the previous day and calls it "misleading spin". Yeah, like no pol ever engages in "misleading spin".

If you really want me to take this stuff seriously, then you'll have to do a lot better than that load of garbage.

In the meantime, Biden is reportedly strongly considering that famous porn-author Stacey Abrams to be his VP pick. But that would preclude the support of one on this board who stated, "I never can trust fat, jowly politicians who tell the rest of us how to act and what to do when they themselves can't push back from the dinner table or resist scarfing down that last slice of pizza." Yep. That would rule out Ms. Abrams, even with her outstanding record of achievement which includes...well, it must surely include something, but then if a record of achievement was really important, Biden wouldn't be the nominee.

And here's the next supposed big whopper. "Now, they [New York] had a chance to order ventilators over the years. They had a chance to order a very big -- but they didn't choose to do it....I wish they did the original orders three years ago. They would've had all the ventilators they needed.” There is nothing false about that statement. This was, they say, repeated six times, so it counts as six "lies or misleading statements". That's true of most of their examples. Say the same statement ten times, and they will count it as ten and not one.

Lunacy. The 18,000 figure is shown clearly to be liberal fantasy.

She's written seven romantic suspense novels and three non-fiction books, all available on Amazon. Also, all of her books are on the database WorldCat (OCLC), and were published by large, reputable publishers. Wikipedia lists her many other political and business/legal achievements.

She writes romance novels? Well then of course she should be VP. She's written six books (total sales about 100,000 so not big hits) about nothing of real importance. The title of one of them is The Art of Desire. I wonder what that's about?

I notice you did not touch this: "I never can trust fat, jowly politicians who tell the rest of us how to act and what to do when they themselves can't push back from the dinner table or resist scarfing down that last slice of pizza." Any thoughts on that comment from your buddy, especially as it would relate to Abrams?

You can read the summary of it on Amazon.

I have several friends who are published romance authors and who write intriguing stories. That genre is quite popular in Libraryland. We had patrons who brought in shopping bags that they filled up with romances, both hardcover and paperback, then checked them out.

It wasn't a comment to follow up on. Miss Abrams doesn't "tell the rest of us how to act and what to do." Please read up on all her successful initiatives. If you'd accomplished all she has, I'd vote for YOU, JL.

What is ridiculous is your volcano comparison. Next.

So no, I don't accept the silly figure of 18,000 lies.
Hmmm. You don't like 2 or 3 so, in your mind, all 18,000 are "silly"? I notice how you avoided the obvious ones, keying on the half-truths and the misleading ones. And how about the 5 or 10 other sources who documented Trump's lies?

And by the way, the Post said "lies and misleading statements", which is another fly in the ointment.
Only you know what that's supposed to mean. Have you gotten to all the lies yet? Or just a few.

That "load of garbage" contains just about every lie that Trump has told during his presidency. You can cherry-pick all you want, but you can't undo the lies your hero has made.

No, it doesn't rule her out. Sorry. She is a good, talented woman. I never rule out good talented human beings. I rule out evil people - you know, like Barr and Pompeo, and your boy Trump.

Hmmm. You don't like 2 or 3 so, in your mind, all 18,000 are "silly"?
I looked at the first five or six. None were legit. Period. So I decided that looking at the other several thousand would be an exercise in nonsense.

Porn author?? Did you really say that?
Here is an excerpt from The Art of Desire. See what you think. "‘Love me,’ he demanded, taking her up once more.Afraid she did, Kell kissed him, a merger that spoke words she wasn’t ready to say aloud.
Arousal, ravenous and craven, bent to a stronger, more fragile need that consumed her. She opened for him, and he plunged inside, dragging her to him.
The rhythm caught them both, drove them to demand then offer. Endlessly, wonderfully, they fell into the greedy darkness and fought to give more than either could have imagined. An explosion, his, hers, theirs, brought twin cries and release."

Yeah. That's a really serious book.

You see, rather than just be for her since she's a liberal dem, you might want to actually look up evidence on the web. You can find more excerpts here. Who knows? She might be your kind of woman. https://thefederalist.com/2018/11/02...#disqus_thread

Of course, it does. Why don't you look it up?
You no doubt know all about her accomplishments except, of course, that you don't and can't name a single thing other than writing porn novels.

No, it doesn't rule her out.
Well it most certainly does. Those are your words. "I never can trust fat, jowly politicians who tell the rest of us how to act and what to do when they themselves can't push back from the dinner table..." Now I'm sure you just neglected to add, "unless, of course, they are a liberal, black, female dem, in which case I learn to love their gluttony."

BTW, I am not a fan of Donald Trump. I voted for him since the dems could evidently find no one more suitable to the task that HC. I'll vote for him again rather than vote for JB, a man who is far, far past his prime, if he ever had one.

Of course it wasn't. Fat-shaming is perfectly fine as long as one of the three amigos does it. She doesn't tell us how to act? Really? Read the link below and then come back and talk about that.

Her successful initiatives? Funny that you don't seem to know any. Read up on them? Why should I do your work? You're the one saying she has accomplished great things without being able to name a single one.

I hope you steered your library customers away from "romance" novels and onto something that might actually profit their lives.

You looked at 5 or 6, then decided the remaining thousands were nonsense? You're quite the Houdini, aren't you? What you DID do was look at many, found ones that were only half-truths, and dropped the outright lies. Now THAT'S being a Houdini!

Here is an excerpt from The Art of Desire. See what you think. "‘Love me,’ he demanded, taking her up once more.Afraid she did, Kell kissed him, a merger that spoke words she wasn’t ready to say aloud.

I quoted your entire paragraph so others could see what you determine is pornography. As usual, you have revealed yourself unwittingly. You're really just a dirty old man, aren't you?

Yeah, that's a really serious book.
Nobody said it was literature. Romance genre was the comment.

You see, rather than just be for her since she's a liberal dem
I never said I'm for her as VP - doing your Houdini bit again?

now I'm sure you just neglected to add, "unless, of course, they are a liberal, black, female dem, in which case I learn to love their gluttony."
Do I detect a bit of racism here? If so, it's not surprising.

BTW, I am not a fan of Donald Trump.
This is the funniest thing you've ever said. A reminder of the old saying, "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck."

I looked at the FIRST five or six, and I'm sure that is five or six more than you looked at. And yeah, looking at the next few thousand did seem pretty foolish. When you've finished reviewing them, give us a summary.

I quoted your entire paragraph so others could see what you determine is pornography. As usual, you have revealed yourself unwittingly. You're really just a dirty old man, aren't you?
It was actually not my paragraph. It was HER paragraph. Now perhaps you don't think that is porn. That's fine if you want to be blind, but as usual, when you are wrong, then someone else is at fault. But like I said, I really think she might be your kind of woman.

Nobody said it was literature. Romance genre was the comment.
So it's not literature, and Romance is not a genre of literature? Wow. Glad to find that out. Be sure to tell WG.

I never said I'm for her as VP - doing your Houdini bit again?
I didn't say you wanted her to be VP, so learn to read more carefully. I just said you were "for her" which you plainly seem to be and clearly leaped right up to her defense. But if you are not, then fine. I'm glad to find that out.

I'm still embarrassed for you to come out as a liberal dem and yet fat shame people the way you did. Whatever you do, don't repeat that line at any of the progressive parties you go to. You will be put upon severely. 8D

You apparently have never seen or read porn. That doesn't even come close. I suggest you take a ride over to your public library and look through their romance collection. Oh, and be sure to check out and read a book in 364.1523. If you consider Selena Montgomery's romances porn, there's a whole new adventure ahead of you!

Any vivid description of sex outside of science lit qualifies as porn. Did you bother to read the other excerpts I linked?

His response was, "Nobody said it was literature." Would anyone have needed to? It's trash in my view, but you are welcome to believe it is a serious work if you want to.

Time to make a law forbidding women from reading romances. That's what gets them "in the mood." Oops, now she's unexpectedly and unhappily pregnant, and wants an abortion -- all because those scintillating romantic romps she was reading got her juices flowing, and she delighted her husband with new adventures in their bedroom. Yup, gotta outlaw those romance novels! No romance, no pregnancies.
