    Does anyone know what this used to be please
    Hi please see attached images,i dug this up a
    couple of years ago whilst gardening and ive
    no idea what it used to be.its 28cms tall and 17cms wide.
    Any help would be gratefully received.mark.

    Is it a gin trap for catching wil animals? Looks a little ornate for that? Perhaps some sort of latch for a gate?
