I have noticed a small spark when inserting a cord plug into an electrical outlet in the old house we have just purchased. All of the electrical appliances seem yto work OK and we don't get this small spark every time. There are still a few circuits of the old "knob and tube" in the house also....

Someone gave me an HP 2311x Monitor (a new model) missing the external switching power supply. I'd like to replace it with a generic (due to the high cost of purchasing it from HP), but all I can find out is the power consumption of the monitor (33w). I have Googled this every way I can think...

Do you have to keep the electric cord plugged in when using a electric start snowblowing. Are do you suppose to unplug it when it start
CPU fan works fine, until my monitor is plugged in.. then everything dies.

My HP Pavilion XT 936 gave me an error messge, that said my CPU fan was not working, and that it was going to shut off in 5 seconds to stop it from overheating... and it did shut right off.
