If Social Security is your ONLY income, NONE of it is taxable; you do not even have to file.

If you have other income, the Social Security income can become partially taxable. It depends on:
    - Your filing status
    - how much Social Security income you have
    - and how much OTHER income you have.

Taxes become due at about $37,000 for a single person with $25K in Social Security and $12K in other taxable income.
