    Is mozilla thunderbird an add-on to Firefox
    I already have Mozilla Firefox. Is Mozilla thunderbird a separate download and can I have both on my laptop

    Thunderbird is an email client
    Firefox is a web browser.

    Yes, they are separate programs. You can have both on your computer.
