    Microwave Overheats?
    Danby Microwave (Just Your Average Size) 8 yrs old.. Twice now Nuking something 20+ minutes Mic shuts off, have to unplug and let it cool down.. Fair to say it's time to Replace??

    LOLOLOL! Sure. But I've never, in all my microwaves since the big old metal ones of the 80s, nuked anything for 20 minutes, or anywhere near that.

    Yes, I would say, you need to scrap that one and buy a new one.

    I just replaced mine yesterday after 26 years. It still looked brand new. It didn't match, so I gave in to the family. I'm wondering how long new ones last.
