    Best gas grade for small engine
    Which gas grade is best for small engine like lawn mower , 7hp, or generator , 2 to 6 kw ? I am trying to prevent build up in the carburetor in these engines. TY

    Use non ethanol gasoline.

Kohler 12.5 HP engine (CH12.5) on my welder runs rough - hard to stay cranked. Cleaned carburetor & fuel lines, drained fuel tank & filled with fresh, clean fuel (ethanol-free), installed new spark plug. Battery is good. Still runs rough & won't stay cranked.
