    Car Starter
    Car sometimes is slow to crank. Meter on battery shows 12.5- 13.00
    Code reader shows the same. Alternator shows 14.2 Could it be the starter
    Or relay. Battery cables look good. Toyota Echo

    Remove and fully charge the battery--most auto parts stores will do this for free. Clean battery terminals, cable connections, and starter connections. I suspect the battery is marginal.

    Get the battery load tested... voltage only tells you part of the story, I bet if you checked at the battery WHILE cranking you would be shocked at how low the voltage gets.

    Voltage test while cranking may have helped narrow it down. Good you you got her going.
