Americans are so stupid. They're just like middle school kids voting for the dumbest kid in class for school president as a joke, only they didn't think about the awful consequences for not only Dumberica but the whole world as well. Trump is promising to pull out of the Paris climate change accord, abolish the EPA, cancel Obamacare which will leave millions without insurance, cancel trade deals which would hurt the whole world, start a trade war with China and who knows what else. It's scary that the president has pretty much unilateral authority to launch a nuclear strike, not even congress or the defence secretary can stop him. There is also no hope for sensible gun laws, although CA and NV voters passed a few restrictions, he will be able to stack the supreme court with far-right judges for generations even if he only lasts one term. Shame on you America, this is bad even for you.

Have to agree with you on some of your point . Cancelling trade deals and his apparent retreat from American global defense responsibilities is wreckless. On the other points ;pulling out of the Paris climate change accord, abolishing the EPA, canceling Obamacare are good ideas .

There is little chance another justice committed to textual/originalist intepretation of the Constitution like Scalia will ever be nominated again. It is a conservative pipe-dream that won't happen . Knowing he is Prez there is no chance that Ginsburg will retire . Unless there is a Dem elected in 4 years you know that the only way she'll leave is in a pine box. Same thing with Anthony Kennedy. Sotomayor will not retire ,and the rest of the justices are already conservative (more or less). The only other one ready to leave the bench is Thomas . So at best ,Trump will be able to replace 2 conservative justices with 2 other conservatives . The court would still be 4-4 with a swing vote. All this talk of stacking the court only applied if Hillary was elected . Had she been able to put 2 extreme lefty "the words of the constitution mean what I intend them to mean" justices then the balance would've been broken .... nice try though .

The scaremongering that went on in this election was appalling . Trump is not going to use nukes on a whim .What nonsense !! The election is over . Now we can endure with a few days of pre-organized protests and belly aching about the injustice of the electoral college system ;and waiting for Obama to pardon Hillary .

Look on YouTube...there are LOTS of videos of Democrats behaving badly. there is a right to PEACEFUL protest....that right ends as soon as the violence and the death threats start. In fact death threats to a US President are very, very serious crimes. There is no right to that in any way shape or form. And Trump is the President elect so its no different than after he is sworn in.

Personally I'd like to see a law that requires the media be required to PROVE every claim they make, and suffer serious consequences if they can't. That might be a good first step to restoring some form of Integrity and honesty back into journalism...as there has been absolutely none for a very long time.

I've come to the conclusion that I really don't give a crap who the next US president is. The only reason I even know about all of this is because I'm on Facebook and 9 out of ten posts for the last 6 months have been about this election, and over half of the posts for a year before that were about this election, and I got sucked into it. I don't have cable, and still all I heard about was this election. But really, why the hell would I care? I'm not American, I don't live in the US, deal with your own shyt, you're not the only country in the world.

Canada had an election not that long ago, bet the majority of you couldn't tell me who was elected without googling it. Why?
