    Buying Procedure
A couple of our elderly friends want to buy carpet. They have a budget of $1,600. They want nice padding, will check for carpet removal. But should they divulge their budget amount to the salesman or “Should they keep that under their hat” What is a prudent approach to this situation of buying carpet?

There is no reason to divulge their budget at all, if they take time to shop and compare at various products and businesses. Knowing whats available is the best strategy I think to buying anything regardless of BUDGET.
