    Did not get the notice appear and my lawyer then dud not advice to appeal the case then

    And you've waited 10 years to consider this.
    You've basically ended up with a default judgement and the case has been closed.
    You are now well out of time for any sort of appeal.

    I see someone transferring a lot of money into the bank account of a potentially shady lawyer on something that has little chance of happening.

    As was mentioned... 10 years is far different than 10 days, 10 weeks or even 10 months.

    Sure he can say pay me and I'll give it a shot... in the end he gets paid either way...even if and when its rejected...which I believe is the most likely outcome.
