Can the base of an American Standard goose neck faucet be temporarily fixed?
The base of my American Standard goose neck kitchen faucet just split and water was coming out of that area. Can I put something on it (silicone) to stop the water from coming out until I can get a new faucet?

Is the water coming out from the top of the chrome base or on the bottom of the base? Does it leak continuosly or only when you run the faucset? Is water dripping down into the cabinet?
