Brown well water clear at well head facet but is brown in house
Well water runs clear when sampled at the pump. But is brown at the whole house filter.
I have been having problems with the filter needing to be changed every 3 to 4 weeks. Ran water rom the well head facet for a couple of days until it was clear. Now the water at the filter is still brown and the filter needs to be changed in a week. The water at the well facet is still clear. Anybody have any ides or experience with this?

    THANK YOU.

You just don't see the rust in the well water. I have the same issue in mine. Change a 10 micron filter every month. Try 2 filters, one a 20 micron and then a 10.

Sure sound like the water table has dropped and you are pulling up silt and dirt.
The solution is to either drill a new well or increase the depth of the old one.
    Good luck , Tom
