How do you get rid of the dvldr32 file?
It is really annoying and from what I have read it can cause serious damage to the PC.
Any ideas?

If you think you already have Spyware/Advertising Ware in your computer, run these as follows:

CWShredder at:

(CWShredder is intended only for removal of CoolWebSearch files; placed as spyware on the harddrive). It is not a "stand alone" scan, but needs to be run. Download the free version by clicking on "Download stand alone version of CW Shredder".

All 3 of the above programs run better and much faster when run in SafeMode.

To get into SafeMode:
Re-boot the computer, and immediately after starting up, Press and hold down, F8, at top of keypad.
When the options show on the screen, use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to select
"Safe Mode".
Press Enter

It's best to run the AdAware scan first; 3 times; then re-boot.
Then, run the AdAware scan again 3 times; then run the SpyBot. Then, run CWShredder.
Re- Boot.
Reason for running so many times:
Some of these trojans' files can be deleted the first time; leaving some others; but on re-boot, they re-write the files that were deleted.
Running multiple times deletes most of it the first
Time.

Since I began using the Spyware Blaster program, I no longer have any spyware/advertising/Trojan programs coming into the computer.

Trelos, that trojan has been around for a looong time. Are you running virus protection and keeping it updated? You should. And don't forget the weekly scans (minimum).

Hello again,
If all the spyware instructions I gave you doesn't do the trick, then:

Go to Start/Run , and type in MSCONFIG , and click on OK.
In that window, click on the StartUp tab at top.
Look to the left and scroll down, see if you see anything associated with dvdlr32.
If so, you can left click on the checkmark, removing it, then click on Apply, and OK.
Re-boot.
This StartUp is all the programs that start up when you turn on or re-boot the computer.

Anti-virus software should be good,reliable,and updated regularly.However,no matter what product you use,trojans can often be bypassed,due to clever 'tinkering' by the idiots.A product I use is Trojan Remover 6.3.5,which can be downloaded at http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html

It's not freeware,but you get a full version 30 day trial.After which it's $29.95,or about £18.95.It will auto scan on system start-up,or can be cancelled easily by one 'click' if you so wish.

It doesn't interfere with my anti-virus product,which is Bit Defender on my main PC,or Anti Vir Personal Edition,on my Linux 'reserve'.

I have been told that if your using Norton you may get a warning message telling you about a possible clash of technology,but Norton is hopelessly full of bloat in my opinion,and I would'nt recommend it anyway.

Apart from that,give Trojan Remover a go,and see what you think.
