Dog going in and out and in and out
How do I train my 9-month-old puppy to stop constantly begging to go outside, then once outside, begging to come back in? This can easily go on in excess of 50+ trips (in AND out = one trip). I am going crazy!!

I know how he is asking, but why don't you go outside with him? Is he completely house broken ?

Go outside with him, make sure he goes potty and make sure that he is not having any issues, such as peeing small amounts frequently, then ignore his needing to go outside. Dogs are very well at training people... looks like he's got you trained!

Dogs LOVE schedules and know what time it is to the minute. Get his leash to show him that he's about to go out, even if it's just in your yard. Go every 2 hours on the dot for now. Change it gradually so that you can leave him at home alone sometime later. Go out with him and praise him each time he 'goes.'

Frequency can be just playing with you and seeing what he can get, but it can also be a sign of something irritating his urinary tract. So watch what he does, and inspect him all over. A UTI might show as a bit of pus or blood or just going a lot.

Sounds like he may be bored. If you rule out any medical issues then I'd suggest some vigorous exercise together twice a day. :)
