I had 2 shots of vodka Thursday night, and 2 more shots Friday night (border midnight)... Will I pass an 80hr urine screen at probation on Monday "IF" they decide to send out to lab? I would be between 55-60hrs alcohol free upon arrival to see my officer. Just to clarify, I'm not a chronic drinker. Thanks for any feedback :)

No, you are very likely to fail it, if they send it to a lab.

Also since you say officer, I will assume this is a probation officer and you were ordered by the court, not to drink? What is the risk? Jail? Higher fines?

You say you are not a "chronic" drinker but you know you are being tested, and still risk drinking. It is a sign of a person with a serious problem. Please get additional help.

Jail time. Anywhere from 20-40dys, then released to start program from scratch. I'm almost done. 5yr sentence and I have a few months over 2yrs in already. Close to completing on great behavior.

Serious problem? Really? Wow... I only had 2 shots of liquor. And it's only been a year since I had drank prior :/

Was it worth the worry since you are so close to completion? You should be very wary of your decision to have a few drinks before a KNOWN test is coming.

Unless you don't think screwing up at the end of this probation is a problem. That's something you should have considered before you just only had 2 shots of liquor, TWO days in a row.

My point, is if you don't know for sure what the pass levels are (and you obviously don't) and you could be detected and retested by a more comprehensive test for confirmation, why do the deed in the first place? With all you have to lose who takes that chance?

Wouldn't passing on the couple of shots two days in a row eliminated the chances of failure? Of course it would, and you wouldn't be sweating bullets about your future with your decision making over a couple of shots before a KNOWN test?

If nothing else, you should have respected the 80 hour rule in any case, Right? "I only had 2 shots of liquor." are famous last words, and NO excuse for a lapse in judgement, or good behavior. I hope you pass, but hope you LEARN a lesson even more, and think before you risk all for a couple of drinks.

I know what I did was wrong and totally idiotic. I also respect what you guys are saying far as the "you should've known better" lectures... But I'm not here for that, I'm here for a more soluble answer to my question. I've tried researching my situation and I see too many contradictory answers. Some say yes, some say no... I'm totally confused. That's why I'm here

That's because there are no pat answers, only (educated) guesses, and OPINIONS, as everybody is unique, and has a unique set of factors, and situations to be considered. No one can predict what YOUR probation officer will do on any given probationer, in their own jurisdiction, or system.

Everybody comes here for the same clarity, reassurance, AFTER doing the dirty deed (DRINKING/DRUGGING). You have been sober for a year, so what happened when you were not so sober while on this court ordered testing?

Don't be confused be PREPARED. When you stop looking for easy solutions to your fears and dilemmas, then you won't be confused, and you own the outcome of your own actions. Then it won't matter what the guesses, opinions, or lecture are about, as you will accept whatever the outcome is of YOUR actions and do better going forward.

That's the best encouragement I can give you after the fact. I know it's scary, and how hard it is to wait and see what will happen. Been on both sides of this trip.

So I just took the random screen and was told to pour it out after being negative for anything (esp the alcohol). What a relief! This definitely a leaning experience for me. I'm so close to finishing my sentence (which was 5yrs that'll be completed within 28months) next month. I will NOT do that again! I'm usually beyond confident when taking a urine test but today was a smack in the face of reality. Thank you all for drilling me. I've learned the hard way which would've been harder IF my sample was to be sent to a lab for ETG :)
