Katie my female bird started to bleed on the foot after she had a fights with angel my other female cockatiel and I don't know what to do please help?!

Separate her from the other bird, put her in a separate cage so she can heal. Make sure that the cage is kept very clean so that no feces or urine, or other debris can infect the wound. Use newspaper for the bottom of the cage, and replace it daily.

Just make sure the wound is clean, just clean it with warm water. Watch the wound. If it swells, or starts to look sore, then it's infected. Birds are usually pretty resilient about these kind of things, but the things mentioned above will help a great deal.

If the wound doesn't heal normally, or she picks at it (some birds will pick at a wound to the point where they actually remove body parts from all the picking), then you'll have to go to the vet. Make sure to research vets in your area because not all vets specialize in birds.

Ma, having had birds all my life, and been around birds all my life (my Opa bred budgies and cockatiels), I can say that the vet, albeit an option for most other pets, isn't that easy when you're dealing with a bird.

Just the trip to the vet can kill a bird. The stress, the cold from the house to the car, other birds at the clinic if you're lucky enough to find a vet that knows anything about birds, are all things to consider.

Let's say this is a dog, and the dog gets a scratch on his foot, it bleeds. Do you instantly run to the vet? Of course not, not unless stitches are required, or he's limping.

Most cuts can be cured at home, and when dealing with a bird that should be the first course of action.
