    Child support
Hello, my boyfriend was arrested for back child support and is currently in jail and don't have a court day for another few days. He has been paying child support every check since he started working in July its now February. His bond is $2500. My question is, when he sees the judge is there a good chance he will be released since he's been paying he does owe a large amount in back pay. He also has no criminal offense is the past 5+ years

Thanks for any help anyone can give

Mostly it will depend on how much proof he has that he has been paying. If it is deducted from his check then he has it there. If he was just giving her money -cash. That is not going to cut it.

If he has a lawyer and he has pay stubs then he will need to produce them. Either way the judge will want to see it. Im not sure why he recieved an arrest warrant if he was paying.

I think the arrest warrant was from before he started working and he didn't know he had one he thought he was fine since he was paying. I'm just trying to get all the info and ease my mind some and get other ppls opinion on what might happen. I have all his pay stubs and the paper from his work about the garnishment... thank you!
