I need some help with a riddle.. .


Alas! Hindsight is more clear in the light of success,
One struggles to be seen and heard.
If only known how grand the outcome would be,
Never changed, would have been one word.

This sounds more of prose then riddle, but decipher it line by line.

Hindsight is clearer once you have succeeded.
When you're trying to succeed you struggle to be noticed.
When you started if you knew how great the end would be you wouldn't compromise your plan to get noticed.

Think of writing and getting a book published. You get your rough draft, polish it up, and then shop around for a publisher. After each rejection you tweak the story to what you believe to be a more accessible until you find a publisher that publishes the book. New york best seller! Make millions. Each critic points out the same deficiencies that weren't in the original draft but were introduced when you were trying to sell it out. If you hadn't had put these in to begin with then it would have been an even better success. So by changing the book in order to get it noticed and published to made it less of a success and if you had known how big of a success it would have been then you wouldn't have changed anything.
