    Could she be pregnant?
Hello, my girlfriend and I had sex for the first time on June 7th. It was less than a minute because she complained it was hurting her too much. I wore a condom and I checked it before sex to see if there were any holes and after to see if it had broken. We came up with no results of holes or breakage. I did not ejaculate either. Her period is starting on the 20th tomorrow and can occur anywhere between tomorrow and the 30th. I am very nervous about her because I don't know what the chances of her being pregnant are. Please give me some help.

Based on everything you said, the chances of her being pregnant are almost nonexistant. You did you everything right to prevent it.

It can always happen.. if either of you were touching you and at any point after was playing with her... plus condoms are 80-82% effective when used correctly.

But as was stated... odds are very low... but never zero.

Do you think it is worth getting her a pregnancy test? I believe I'm over stressing honestly.

Why would you be so worried and need a test before she has even missed her period? Seems to me that if you are this worried, you probably aren't emotionally prepared enough to be having sex in the first place. Maybe you guys should play Scrabble instead.

Not trying to be smart or anything but I agree with you in that statement. I probably was not ready to have it yet.

It happens. Maybe from now on, just find something else to do...there's plenty of time for sex when you're a little older and more prepared.

But seriously...stop worrying right now. She hasn't even missed the period yet.

As odinn7 said... until she is two weeks late for her next period... having her take a test is a waste of time and money... the results would not be very reliable before then.

Thank you. But another thing. Can us having sex push her period off it's normal course? I know having a period is not clock work but how long should I wait to see?

No... if that was true every married woman and many of the single ones would have horribly unreliable periods. Which I can attest is NOT the case.

However stressfull life events ( or anything that results in stress) can make it late.

Having sex won't push the period off but the stress may...if you are this stressed out already, I wonder how bad she is...or how much of your stress is being transferred to her.

She was a little uneasy at first but she is not worried at all about it now. I'm the only one worrying about it and she's trying to calm me down an this is helping. But I did read that stress can push a cycle back a few but she is not stressed by any means as far as I know. Just one day at a time we will have to take it. But like you and everyone else said, the chances are slim to none.

Just remember... if it does happen... you get to pay for it the next 18-21 years... and even if you break up you will be handing over 1/2 of every paycheck you make to her. Sobering thought, isn't it.

You are going to se it happen to some of your friends even if you are lucky enough to avoid it.

Remember that and remember the old saying..." there but for the grace of god go I" which means good fortune would be the only thing preventing it from happening to you even if you take every precaution. If you don't then you can guarantee it happening.
