    Was prescribe valtrex 500mg twice a day (1000 mg).,.
    Went to pharmacy and suggest to get aciclovir/clorixaan 800 3 times a day (2400mg)... price on medicine is a generic...

    I thought I had posted here, but I guess not. Is this what you are referring to :

    Your doctor prescribed a certain medication and your pharmacy wanted to replace it with a generic brand that was cheaper? There is nothing wrong with that. My pharmacist, who has more scope to his practice in Ontario (I know you are probably in the US) can suggest an alternate generic medication.
