    Percentage
    At 9a.m on Monday the price of gold was $450 per ounce. If the price of gold at 3:00 that same day was $441 per ounce. What was the percent decrease in the price of gold during the day?

    Basic math fraction. Try dividing the numbers and see what you get.

    Percent change is equal to the change in value divided by the original value, converted to percentages (i.e. times 100%). Try it - what do you get for an answer?
