So I've gotten a nose pierce about a month ago and suddenly this red bump appeared over the pierce.

My piercer said it was a keloid. I know is hard to get rid of it (some posts online freaked me out by saying that it might never go away... : \) I'm wondering if it's really a keloid or he got confused with hypertrophic scarring or granuloma?

I clean it twice a day with H2Ocean and today started applying aspirin past on it (to my piercer's recommendation)..

I don't want to give up on the pierce and certainly don't want the bump to stay - I'm totally confused and freaked out, can someone help me clarify?
