    Exploding thermopane window
Today we had the third thermo pane window explosion. It is always the inner pane. It is always in winter. This gets expensive.
Why do they explode? These windows are 19 years old.
Is there any way to prevent this?

Differential expansion stresses the tempered glass. I would also guess that the window is on the south or west side.
Not much to do after 19 years.

Sadly I agree, at 19 years of age all I can suggest is start pricing replacement windows.
