    Who wrote this poem?
    The first line is "After I cut off the arms that reached out to me"
    "And after I boarded up all the windows and the doors"

    It was probably written in Spanish and translated to English

    I believe the Poem you are searching for is "After" by Octavio Paz.

    "After chopping off all the arms that reached out to me;
    after boarding up all the windows and doors;
    after filling all the pits with poisoned water;
    after building my house on the rock of no,
    inaccessible to flattery and fear;"
