What are the terms of the adoption? What do the adoptive parents say? Do you know them? I doubt you have any legal rights unless the adoptive parents say so. Also what are the circumstances of the adoption? How old is the child(S)?

Generally, you have ZERO legal rights after the adoption. Pennsylvania Grandparents Rights in Divorce - Pennsylvania Divorce Source

How fair would it be to the adoptive parents to have you disrupting their lives for the next 18 years?

If it is an open adoption, you may be able to have communication and visitation with the child IF THEIR LEGAL PARENTS CONSENT. However, they have no obligation to do so, and you have ZERO rights to pursue it in court unless you have an established relationship with the child that has been disrupted by the adoption (as in, this is an older child who has lived with you and visited with you consistently, and you have not been deemed unsuitable for adoption by the courts when a parents' rights were severed involuntarily).

I will also note that if your child chose adoption for their infant against your wishes, you will do nothing but make things worse with your relationship with your child if you pursue this through the courts against their wishes. You could also ruin any chance of ever having a relationship with your grandchild if the adoptive parents deem you a threat--as is well within their rights to do.

If this is an open adoption, you may ask the adoptive parents for contact, either through written communication (letters or email) or through visitation, but they have no obligation to let you have any contact.
