My SAMSUNG printer was working properly that all of a sudden one of the papers got stuck (or struck? - I do not know) in it and when I tried to pull it out, a part of it was torn and was stuck inside, which I removed by opening its rearside with an instrument. The earlier problem with it is that it used to pick many pages in one turn and they get stuck up inside and are needed to pulled out with a jerk or hit-trial method. It works often, but today, after the page was left, it stopped picking the paper. Even after I opened the rear side and removed that piece of paper, it is giving same problem. It has also xerox facility and when I press button for photocopying, it does not give any reaction. How to mend it, I mean how to repair it?

There is a small roller that gets pressed against the paper as soon as you print or copy. Does this roller move towards the paper to grab it or does it stand still?

If it does not move towards the paper if needs to be fixed by a service agent. If it does move towards the paper then try the following:

Try cleaning the paper pick and all rollers with a moist ear bud.
