How to check if a business is real
There's a business called shop-computers,biz and when you click on it takes you to a business called cosco inc. well it's a work from home job. And I'm trying to find out if it is legit. I called the number on the website, and it does not go through, well the "hiring" guy has called me a few times to go over the job and questions that I may have. I did ask about the company and any references. They have not asked for any type of money. But I just can't find anything on this place... help..

99.9% of work from home jobs are scams... particularly if you don't need a very specific skill to do it.

100% of those where you don't actually interview for or pay any money for, or are required to buy certain things to do your "job" from them are frauds.

Cosco itself addressed this company - http://content.costco.com/Images/Con...ferEmails2.pdf

Find out where the online company, where he's calling you from, and check with the State Attorney General.

I trust you didn't provide them with personal info - ? Looks like they also pfish.

Costco is like Sams club/walmart. I doubt they would have work at home.
.biz is usually sites to buy from the internet from what I've seen.
I have sites that I can find out about them with an 800 type number.

The OP spelled it "Cosco" not "Costco".

Cosco is an even larger corporation... I can't see them having anyone but executives being allowed to work outside of the office... ever.

Their site doesn't seem to have much information other than technology. The phone number didn't show up in any of my 800 number references. The only cosco I could find references on had to do with airline transport containers.
I'd ask them exactly what their products are, what you would be doing, and what types of places do they provide service to?

Call the TN Attorney General - or similar office - and ask.

    It's that simple.

Or ask the person who is "hiring" you for credentials.

And if you check out Costco you find references to Cosco.
