    Can H4 visa holder get allowance from company when approved for H1 ?
    My wife is on H4 since last 2 years in USA.
    She recently got a job and the company applied for her H1b which is approved.
    But she is eligible to work from this October and doesn't have SSN yet.
    Can she still accept allowances until then from the company ?
