Start, have you tried leaving the key on for 15 minutes. then try to start it. That resets the security sys. Good luck

Hey thanks, will give it a try.
The 2 Codes are actually 0401, NOT 0404. Oops?

What engine? Is it really a Pontiac LeMans? Could it be a GrandAm?

Tx, you're right, I knew it was a Grand AM, but wrote LeMans?
It has a SFI 3400 Engine.

Start, I take it the reset didn't work? I have used that on two different vehicles, sorry it didn't work for you.

Don't know that it didn't work yet,
She has her Brother working on it, haven't heard back yet.
I'm trying to provide some help by phone, or when in that area.
Wish I could convince them the Service Manual would be a good investment, and save Time and Money?
    Thanks for any input.

My bet is the Ignition Control Module has failed, if it cranks but won't start.

Using a discount code, buy it online at Advance Auto Parts for local pickup. This could save you at least $40.
