    "if" by rudyard kipling
    Why might kipling have decided to write the poem in second person point of view. How does the language thsat kipling uses in the poem affect the readers. My answer has to be ar leasr two complete paragraphs and should cite specific examples from the text to support my response

    A writer rarely uses second person.

    One hint: Kipling composed the poem in 1909 while living in Great Britain. It was first published in 1910. Kipling had an only son, John, who was killed at the Battle of Loos in 1915 aged 18 years.

    Another hint: “If” is a didactic poem.
