You borrowed the money and you have to pay it back with interest. That wasn't free money they gave you.

LOL! You think cancelling the card/account will clear you of having to pay? You have to pay them back, you know... that's what the payments are all about. Didn't you read the terms before you signed up for the card? Now you have interest to pay on top of the principal amount you borrowed from them. If you don't start paying, they will send you to collections.

The more you borrow, the more interest you pay... and $89 doesn't sound like an interest payment, it sounds more like a member fee or an annual fee for the card.

    1) What is the credit limit you can put on the card? $5000?
    2) How much have you charged to the card?
    3) What is the percent interest per month?
    4) On your most recent bill, what is the total that you owe?

When you charge something and pay for it with your credit card, you receive a bill once a month and then have to pay something back to the credit card company. Have you paid back anything?

Is there someone who will explain this to you?

You are charging too much and not paying back enough. Probably your interest rate has become very high.
