2 porch lights, operated by a 3 way switch, 1 switch and 1light upstairs and 1 down
I have an upstairs porch light, and a downstairs porch light. I want to turn both lights on/off from a switch upstairs and both lights on/off from a switch downstairs.

Do I use 3 way switches? My power is from the downstairs switch.

    Thanks,

Yes, you will use 3-way switches. Run a 3 conductor (4 wires) from downstairs switch to upstairs switch. Run 2 conductor cable from upstairs to first light and 2 conductor cable to second light.

    OR

Run 3 conductor cable from downstairs switch to upstairs switch and 2 conductor cable from downstairs switch to first light and 2 conductor cable to second light.
