    Jandy energy filter
I have a small Jandy energy filter on my pool and I'm wondering if it is necessary. It gets clogged about once a year and is extremely difficult to unscrew.
The bowl just cracked trying to unscrew it to clean the filter and I'm wondering if I can just bypass it. Will it be that much of a difference?
I have an inline small filter and regular filters for the pump.

Any help would be great! Thanks!
