    Maytag dryer noise
My Maytag dryer (10 years old) makes a griding noise that appears to be coming from the motor (I took the back panel off). It still spins and dries but the noise is terrible--like a broken bearing? Is it worth it to have it repaired or buy a new one? Thank you.

Is it something inside the blower?

Have you inspected the rollers and tensioner pulleys? All of these things make noises when they are worn. You can verify this by removing the belt, and letting the motor run w/o turning the drum.
