What was the name of the poem about the girl at the tavern and some thief/murder comes by and he has to leave for a few days and when he comes back the girl is getting taken and she kills her self so he will know that gun men are there and he should go but he didn't go and h got killed. ( rough memory)

That's the plot of The Highwayman - but it's written by Nose, not Poe.
