Hi there,I need your help, my son(14yrs) has discovered sex websites and porno websites,is there anyone out there that can help me to block these sites so he will no longer have access to it,we have laptop so he would take it everywhere.PLEASE HELP URGENT. THANK YOU

Do NOT rely on technology to do YOUR job for you.
You need to make it clear that the internet is ONLY accessed from a Family area where he can be monitored.

There are software packages that can be used to filter, but they are not 100% effective. So the only real tool you have is supervision.

You can Google porn blockers, but most 14 year olds know so muich about computers they can get around most

1. keep computer in the common living area. No computers in private areas.
2. parents keep a eye on usage and pages visited.
3. parents restrict use of computer and other "things" if the child disobeys.

** side note, this is of course not much difference than 40 years ago, when 14 year olds were sharing or stealing dad's playboys and the such. So the desire to look and find out is there and their hormones are starting to kick in. This is the age many will start considing sex even. * Best to have some healthy discussions about what is going on, and put properly control,

Supervision comes first. But if you insist on depending on the technology. Try using softwares like sspro and net dog and filter porno sites.

Part of it is being a parent, if h looks, take computer usage away for a while, check his user history, if he is cleanig it, same a guilty,

You guys never heard of Content Advisor in Internet Explorer..

I am using IE 9, not sure if it's there in IE 7 or 8. Maybe someone else can let me know

Load Internet Explorer
Go to tools
Internet options
Content tab
Enable content advisor

Here you can set it up so your kids will only be able to access a few websites of your choosing and nothing else.

Its impossible to selectively block all xxx websites out there, so this way you can allow just a few sites and block everything else (the opposite way of doing it)

Some routers might also allow you to do this at a router level.

Simply through Control Panel go to Internet Options.
Now move to Privacy tabbed section.
Click "Sites" and add the website urls here that you want to block.

Through anti-virus parental control settings you can also block websites by adding them to the block list.

That assumes the OP knows what sites to block. If the goal is to block adult sites there are thousands of them.
