    Ask about dvd problems
When playing a disk in my dvd player all of a sudden there is a loud pop and the screen goes blank and then a few seconds later the screen comes back and the dvd disk continues to play. I miss a few seconds of the movie and dialogue. How do I prevent that scenario from happening? Thanks.

Depends. Sometimes the DVD plays completely through with no "pops". But today I was playing a two hour movie and had 4 or 5 "pops". Could it be that a static charge builds up and then is discharged, maybe? If so how do you prevent that from happening?. Gil

Could simply be a dust build up within the unit causing a short.
I'd be inclined to blow it out to make sure that it's clear.

Sometimes I absolutely can not get my DVD player to play a DVD. I can usually get the DVD to play on my computer but I much prefer to watch it on the TV. Any suggestions?
