    It is not a starter solenoid! That is a gasoline shut off! It is two different things! You would have to put a plug in the bottom of the carb! Thanks for your answer! Smoothy

    You can run it without the anti backfire solenoid on the bottom of the carb. You just take a chance of shearing the flywheel keyway if it backfires.

    Hi,
    With the engine numbers, you or I could look it up as it is usually in the parts breakdown of the carb.
