    Judement Letter / Answer Letter "In Process"
    I received a summons and did not act upon it in the 30 days ( I was seeking legal advise The Volunteer Lawyer Project is backed up).
    I am permanently disabled and have no real property. My social security check is direct deposited. I called the court and they said it hasn't been acted on and I should submitt an Answer Letter as soon as possible. I have no Idea what to say.

    All you need to do is take a letter with the date and all the summons info on it (case# etc)
    That says basically 1. This is not my debt 2. The plaintiff has not sent me proof that this is my debt. They just need an answer. The worst thing you can do is not answer at all.

    That worked for me.
